Fall is here
Fall is here. The leaves have started to cover the sidewalk. The mountains are yellow and red. It's very pleasant and relaxing. Somehow, it's very warm today though. I love it for sure. Being able to open up the windows and still see the fall colors with a gentle breeze is fantastic. However, it feels wonderfully foreboding to the climate disaster we've been slowly rolling into.
I can't help but think about one and also be aware of the other. I think I've learned not to let it spoil the good. Maybe that's just some kind of numbness though.
Anyway, I got some delicious apples at the grocery store this week to feel more in the mood. They're honeycrisp and the name fits them perfectly. Halloween is already passed obviously but something in me still feels like maybe getting and carving a pumpkin just for the hell of it. Thanksgiving is right around the corner too so it'll be nice to go back home, drive through the mountains, and see my family for a meal. Even if I am going back next week as well :)
